NO CELL, BELL TO BELL
The Board of Education recognizes that students may have personal communication devices (PCDs) that can perform different functions. Such devices include “internet-enabled devices” defined as: any smartphone, tablet, smartwatch, earbuds or other device capable of connecting to the internet and enabling the user to access content on the internet, including social media applications, but do not include any such device supplied by the district for educational purposes.
Students are encouraged not to bring cell phones or other personal communication devices that utilize w including smart watches, and air pods/earbuds to school.
If students choose to bring a cell phone/device to school- here are the expectations: cell phones and other communication devices (smart watches, air pods) will be stored upon arrival to school for the entirety of the school day. The devices will remain in storage for the entire school day, including lunch.
Students who need to be in contact with their family during the academic day will be able to use one of the school phones in the main office. Parents are encouraged to contact the main office if there is a message that needs to be relayed.
Students assume the risk of damage, theft, or loss when choosing to bring their device to school.
Students may use their cell phone, smart watches and other communication devices before and after the academic school day.
