Reopening Safety Plan
2021-2022
Stay Open Safety Plan
Our goal is to have all of our students return to in-person instruction as soon as it is allowed by New York State Education Department, Sullivan County Department of Health and we have all of the personal protection equipment in place. The Eldred Central School District will continue to follow and adhere to all of the assurances that were outlined in our Reopening Safety Plan that we submitted to the state in September of 2020 and the April 2021 addendum. Our 2021-2022 Reopening Plan will align our previous Reopening Safety Plan with the latest guidance issued by the New York State Department of Health (NYDOH) guidance and the Centers from Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on how to prioritize and assure safe in-person learning in schools while adhering to layered mitigation strategies.
This addendum to the 2021-2022 Reopening Safety Plan will address all standards set forth in the NYDOH guidance and reflect engagement with school stakeholders and community members. This addendum will be presented publicly and posted online. This plan will cover:
1. Reopening of school facilities for in-person instruction
2. Monitoring of health conditions
3. Containment of potential transmission of the COVID-19
4. Closure of school facilities and in-person instruction, if necessitated by widespread virus transmission
