Eldred Community,
I've had a diverse career journey, which has ultimately led me to this wonderful role where I get to pursue my passion for education
My journey began in the world of business, where I served as New Business Policy Advisor for Connecticut Mutual. While the corporate world provided valuable experiences, I discovered my true calling lay in education. This realization prompted me to make a bold career shift, and I embarked on a path in education that has been incredibly rewarding. Over the years, I've had the privilege of serving our district in various capacities, first as a Jr/Sr High School Principal and later as an Elementary Principal. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of our educational system and the unique needs of students at different stages of their academic journey.
One of my greatest passions is literacy, and I firmly believe in the transformative power of literacy education. I am dedicated to fostering a love for reading and writing among our students. In particular, I'm enthusiastic about the implementation of units of study for writing, a program that I believe has the potential to unlock the creativity and potential of our young writers.
Beyond my role in education, I'm actively involved in my community. I have served as a football, baseball, soccer and basketball coach and I'm an active volunteer for the Parkinson's Foundation. This cause is close to my heart, and I am committed to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families affected by Parkinson's disease.
In my current role as Director of Instructional Services, I'm excited to continue my journey of educational leadership and innovation. I am deeply committed to ensuring that our district provides the best possible educational experience for all students, and I'm eager to collaborate with our dedicated educators, staff, and parents to achieve this goal. I look forward to working together to make a difference in the lives of our students.
Scott Krebs, Director of Instructional Services and Special Projects
