Dear Eldred School Community,

 I cannot believe that the summer is winding down and we are quickly preparing for the 2024-2025 school year.  Construction started in June and we have been moving quickly on the roof at George Ross Mackenzie Elementary, JSHS library and up top at the baseball, football and soccer fields.  Check out our website for construction photos. While construction is taking place, we are busy preparing the two buildings for the upcoming school year.  We are very excited to welcome our new pre-kindergarteners and kindergarteners to George Ross Mackenzie Elementary and seventh graders to Eldred Junior-Senior High School. 

The Eldred Central School District will continue to offer 100% free breakfast and lunch for all students but by completing this form you may also be eligible for reduced tuition costs for SUNY Sullivan Community College classes that are offered at the JSHS.  The application is completely confidential and only one application per family needs to be completed.  Along with reduced tuition costs, this form will ensure the Eldred Central School District is allocated all funding and resources that are vital for our operations and are entitled to receive.  

 As we embark on a new school year, our staff is well-prepared to meet the needs of all of our students.  We will continue to assess and address the academic and social-emotional needs of our students.  As parents in our district family, your communication with our teachers and administrators is critical to the amazing success of our students.  I invite you to communicate with your child’s teachers, coaches, advisers, and principal.  I hope you will join me in welcoming an exciting new school year with embracing all of the challenges and opportunities that will come along the way.  On behalf of myself, our staff and the Board of Education, I wish everyone success as we start this new school year!
