February 10, 2021 Superintendent Letter to Parents

February 10, 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We set aside 8 snow days in the 2020-2021 calendar. Thus far we have used 7 snow days. Once we use the last one, (the 8th snow day), we will use virtual learning days should the need arise to close in-person instruction. Teachers will utilize virtual instruction on these days, working from home since the school buildings will be closed.

The JSHS will be learning asynchronously (no live meets).

The elementary school will also be learning asynchronously, but with a live meet in the morning to explain the day's independent assignments.

Should you have any questions regarding this plan please contact your child's principal or teacher.

This has been a stressful year for students, parents, and teachers; I think we are all looking forward to returning to "normal". Hopefully, that will be possible in the fall.

Thank you for all of your efforts during this difficult time.

Sincerely yours,

John C. Morgano Ed.D., Superintendent of Schools
