The Eldred Central School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert E. Keesler, Jr. as Principal of the Eldred Junior-Senior High School.
Mr. Keesler brings more than two decades of experience in education, including extensive experience as a classroom teacher and school administrator. He graduated from Monticello High School and earned his degree from SUNY Oneonta. He began his educational career with the Monticello Central School District, where he spent 23 years teaching social studies before serving as an instructional coach and later as an Assistant Principal at Monticello High School.
Throughout his career, Mr. Keesler has developed a strong understanding of curriculum and instruction, student support, and school leadership. His experience working directly with students and staff, combined with his leadership roles, provides a strong foundation as he assumes his new position at Eldred Junior-Senior High School.
A lifelong resident of the Town of Bethel, Mr. Keesler also has longstanding ties to the local community. He and his wife, Kelly, are raising their two sons, Cayden and Bryson, in the community where he was born and raised.
Mr. Keesler expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to serve the Eldred community, stating:
โIt is an honor and a privilege to serve as Principal in the Eldred Junior-Senior High School. I am truly humbled by the faith the district has shown in me, and I will work extremely hard to be the kind of leader that the students, staff, faculty, and community of Eldred deserve.โ
