Congratulations to our modified girls basketball team led by Becky and Chris Ryman for their win over Roscoe, 37-8. They also beat Livingston Manor last week, 36-7 so right now they are 2-0. Way to go girls!! Keep up the good work!!

Thanksgiving Dinner Flyer
Students are permitted to wear costumes this Monday, 10/31 for Halloween. However, masks are not allowed. We ask that all students use their discretion in determining what costumes are appropriate and what is not. A student will be sent to the office if the costume is an issue. Thank you in advance.
We need your assistance with something we have been noticing in the building. Please do not allow your child to bring a blanket to school with them unless it is permitted for a specific reason. This is affecting the learning environment and could cause a safety hazard in case there is an emergency. Thank you!
As a reminder, there will be no school for students this Monday, October 24th. This is a Superintendent's Conference Day for Staff. All VoTech students can still attend their program. Transportation will only be provided from the JSHS. AM VoTech students should arrive at the school at 7:20am and PM VoTech students should arrive at 11:00am.

The JSHS had a great week enjoying all the Homecoming Festivities. All students had a great time enjoying the fundraiser and bonfire on Friday that was followed by the football game. The highlight of the week seemed to be the Homecoming dance where a record number of students attended. Thank you to everyone who made Homecoming week special for the Eldred Community!
The National Honor Society is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, October 26th. If you'd like to donate go directly to redcrossblood.org to reserve your spot. Please know that spots can go quickly and are not official until you have received your email confirmation from the American Red Cross.
Eldred students visited Bethel Woods for the Youth Leadership Conference on 9/30! A select group of students had the opportunity to attend the Annual Youth Leadership conference for the day to collaborate with teens from other school districts.

Our new school website is a step forward, streamlining the way we convey information to parents and post the most current school information, schedule and notices. This new website also has a mobile application that is available to both Androids and iPhones. This will allow users to view all important information on a mobile friendly platform. Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope the start of the 2022-2023 school year went well for you. Summer weather is quickly coming to an end and fall temperatures are rushing in. We are so excited to have students back in our buildings and we are 100% back to normal with sports, clubs, and dances. Both George Ross Mackenzie Elementary and the Eldred JSHS had great open houses that were well attended this month. It is going to be an amazing school year.
