We all must know about the internet and digital safety to protect ourselves and our kids. Fearless! will present an educational workshop at the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) on the evening of 4/24/2025 for parents/guardians and students in grades 6-12, focusing on internet and digital safety. The National Honor Society with help from their advisers and faculty members, Ms. Ross, Mrs. Walsh, Mrs. Oset, and Mrs. Galvin-Bliefernich, were able to put to put together 40 toiletry bags for people that have to suddenly relocate to shelters in Sullivan County. These bags include travel size toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, etc... Awesome way to make a local impact for Sullivan County!
In French class, students marked Mardi Gras by cooking and enjoying crêpes. They learned about the holiday's traditions while practicing their French and culinary skills. Good things happening in our World Language Department! Nice job everyone!

The topic is: Sensory Tools & Tricks for Children with Sensory Processing Difficulties. This is a very interesting topic that can apply to many individuals. Dear Eldred JSHS Parents/Guardians,
This morning, around 10:08 am, a Fire Alarm was activated at the Jr/Sr High School. The building was evacuated immediately upon the alarm, and cleared first by our Emergency Response Team. Within minutes, the Yulan Fire Department arrived on site and determined the building was clear and it was safe to re-enter. Classes resumed as normal by 10:25 am. I am happy to report that all Faculty, Staff, and Students did a fantastic job of following protocol for evacuating the building.
Thank you to our local First Responders for keeping our school community safe!

Save the date- Eldred Central School District will be participating in the Special Olympics again this year! Eight of our students aged 8-12 years old will be athletes. The event will take place on May 17th at Goshen High School. The qualifying rounds are scheduled for the morning and competing rounds will be in the afternoon. Parents, families, staff and community members are welcome. Come support our students!
