Celebrating a month of action! 🧩 From activities to our 'wear blue' day yesterday at the George Ross Mackenzie School, we’ve loved seeing the support for Autism Awareness. Let’s 'Light It Up Blue' for the last day of the month as we embrace the move toward Autism Acceptance!

🚨 Schedule Update 🚨 Due to field conditions, Mod Softball at Liberty has been canceled and rescheduled for May 4th. ⚾ Boys Mod Baseball is still ON and will play at the Hive with a 4:00 PM start. Good luck to our baseball team! 💪

The Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association will proudly honor James Deyermond and Marissaa Gochenour as Eldred's Scholar Athletes on June 4th. This recognition celebrates their outstanding achievements both in the classroom and in athletics, highlighting their dedication, discipline, and leadership.

James has exemplified excellence on and off the field and will continue his academic and athletic career at Williams College, where he will play football.
Marissaa has also demonstrated an exceptional commitment to her academics and athletics and will be attending University of Connecticut this fall.

Both student-athletes represent the very best of the Eldred community, balancing rigorous academics with high-level athletic performance. Their hard work, perseverance, and character make this honor well deserved.
Congratulations to James and Marissaa on this incredible achievement and on their bright futures ahead.

🟡 ELDRED ATHLETICS – LEADING WITH SPORTSMANSHIP 🟡⚫

We are proud to share that Eldred has been recognized by the NYSPHSAA for our commitment to promoting positive sportsmanship!

On behalf of the NYSPHSAA, we received congratulations and appreciation for completing the Sportsmanship Promotion Survey—an important step in continuing to build a culture of respect, integrity, and support within our athletic programs.

Our school has earned a Sportsmanship Certificate, recognizing the work we’ve done to evaluate and strengthen our policies, procedures, and expectations for student-athletes, coaches, and fans.

This is something our entire school community can be proud of. Sportsmanship is more than just a game it’s how we represent Eldred every day.

Next steps: Our Section will review all submissions, with select schools earning a Sportsmanship Plaque, and ultimately, one or two schools being awarded the prestigious NYSPHSAA Sportsmanship Promotion Banner Award.

Clutch hits, strong defense, and lockdown pitching sealed the deal—this was a total team win! Way to Go Yellowjackets !

Round 2 of our Washington Trip! 🇺🇸📸 Yesterday was filled with incredible memories and meaningful learning experiences as we visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington Cemetery, and the Kennedy Center. And Shear Madness was pure joy—lots of laughs and smiles all around! 🎭 Today was another amazing day as we explored Ford’s Theatre, the Native American Museum, and the Air & Space Museum—so many powerful and exciting moments for our students. The kids also had the chance to pick out their souvenirs, bringing home a little piece of this unforgettable trip. 🛍️ We want to give a huge THANK YOU to our awesome bus driver and our tour guide, Alex, for making this trip so smooth, fun, and memorable! 👏🚌 Another fantastic experience with a great group of students—more memories to come. There are a lot of great things happening this month at Eldred to celebrate Autism Awareness month! Staff at the Junior/High School wore blue yesterday to honor autism. Students and staff at our elementary school have been working on completing artwork to display around the school. Mrs. Parker has been working hard with the students in the 8:1+1 class to decorate their bulletin board.
