Eldred CSD Budget Newsletter 2025




Eight of our students from the George Ross Mackenzie School will be participating in the Special Olympics next Saturday, May 17th at Goshen High School. The athletes have worked very hard and we are very excited to be a part this event. Come cheer on our students for all or part of the event if you are able! The qualifying rounds are in the morning starting around 9am and competing rounds are in the afternoon, followed by an awards ceremony around 2pm.

We’re still keeping an eye on the weather, but it’s looking like conditions may improve in time for tonight’s Varsity softball game at 4:30 and the modified track meet in Port today. If anything changes, we’ll keep you posted. Thank you ! Go yellowjackets!
Congratulations to Trai Kaufmann for being named to the 4th Team All-State Basketball Team!
Out of only 29 players selected from our area—and as the only Class D athlete chosen—this is a truly outstanding accomplishment.
The honor was officially announced today in the newspaper. Your hard work, talent, and dedication have truly paid off. Way to go, Trai!
🌟🏆 Huge congratulations to Tabitha Smith for her outstanding performance! She secured first place in the high jump with an impressive height of 4 feet 6 inches and took third in the hundred hurdles with a time of 18.3 seconds against Monticello and Beacon. We're so proud of your hard work and dedication! Keep soaring, Tabitha! 🎉💪

Congratulations to the modified track team. Mila Mullen took third place in the 400 against Tri-Valley, Monticello, Homestead, and Fallsburg. Aiden Smith took first in the 1500.
And, special congratulations to Nathan Kinne who took third in the high jump and second in the hurdles. He has tied the school record for the hurdles and has shattered the school record for high jump.
🚨 Athletic Schedule Update – Cancellations & Changes 🚨
Due to poor field conditions both here and at Tri-Valley, and with incoming weather, the following events scheduled for today have been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date:

Varsity Boys Baseball is still ON for today and will be played at home! ⚾️💪Senior Night for boys baseball scheduled for May 7th parents please try to be there by 4 pm . ( weather pending)
Unfortunately, Burke had to cancel today’s Varsity Softball game due to poor field conditions. A make-up game will be scheduled—details to come.

Eldred and Liberty students jointly participated in an interactive presentation, "The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Sustainable Development Goals". The presenter was 2012 Eldred graduate Sarah Coykendell, who is now the Assistant Director of Holocaust Studies at Kean University.
Dr Adara Goldberg, Executive Director, also served as a presenter.
Mrs Oset and Mr Ward accompanied the students on the trip.
