The JSHS Hope Squad is leveling up their commitment to student well-being by diving into advanced mental wellness training. These student leaders have been busy sharpening their active listening and crisis intervention skills through hands-on workshops and collaborative role-playing. By mastering the best ways to recognize warning signs and connect peers with professional support, they are doing more than just raising awareness—they are building a vital safety net for our school. This ongoing dedication ensures that the Hope Squad remains a powerful bridge to help, fostering a culture at JSHS where every student feels seen, supported, and never alone.

Eldred Yellowjackets on the Road! Exciting day ahead as our Modified Wrestling team heads to Sullivan West, ready to tackle the competition! At the same time, our Girls Varsity Basketball team travels to the Rockland Central School District (Livingston Manor campus) to show their skills on the court. Let’s cheer them on for a great performance! Go Yellowjackets!

The next Parent Empowerment Workshop will be held on January 28th from 5-6pm, sign-in between 4:30 and 5pm in the library at the George Ross Mackenzie School. The topic will be "Managing Meltdowns for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)." It will be provided by certified behavior analyst, Loriel Pinckney and Action Toward Independence. Many of the strategies can be used with other diagnoses/behavioral difficulties as well, not necessarily just for Autism. FREE refreshments will be provided. The Girls Varsity Basketball game scheduled for today at Eldred vs. Monticello has been canceled due to Monticello canceling after-school activities.

🏀 Good news: The Boys Basketball games are still on as scheduled against Chester.
