Baseball: See who made the 2023 Players to Watch List Ken McMillan Times Herald-Record Forty-two schools from Section 9 will be competing in baseball this season, plus Delaware Valley in Northeast Pennsylvania. The Section 9 season got underway on Saturday with the regular season culminating on May 18. The Section 9 finals are set for May 27 in Saugerties, with the ultimate goal of reaching the state public school semifinals and finals in the Binghamton area on June 9-10. The coaches who participated provided the names of two top players for each team. Eldred Central School District will be on a 2 hour delay, Wednesday, March 15th due to icy road conditions.

Eldred will be closed for in person classes on Tuesday, March 14 due to inclement weather and will shift to remote instruction. Students will access their Google Classroom for work from the classroom teachers.

Friday, Eldred had five archers travel to Syracuse to compete in the New York State Archery Tournament. John Hulse had a respectable showing for his first state competition. Autumn Walsh & Caden Long shot personal highs, Gwyn Andersen finished 24th in her division and John Scully finished 5th in his division. This qualifies him for the National Championship to be held in Louisville, KY in May. Well done Eldred Archers! 🏹
