The Coalition for a Vape-Free Sullivan, a collective of community organizations committed to ending the youth vaping epidemic locally, is thrilled to welcome a national organization, PAVe (Parents Against Vaping e-Cigarettes), to our county on November 5th, 2025 at 4pm at the CVI Building in Liberty.
Parents Against Vaping is a grassroots community of passionate parents and concerned individuals committed to protecting children from the dangers of vaping and other flavored tobacco use. This presentation is appropriate for anyone looking to learn more about the issue and the solutions, but will be particularly impactful for parents, teachers, principals, school administrators, school resource officers, school nurses, as well as public health and youth development professionals. PAVe leaders will present “Reducing Youth Vaping: School Strategies and the Power of Restorative Practices and Policies”.
We look forward to being together and continuing our collective impact work towards improving the health of the next generation in Sullivan County. This program is made possible with opioid settlement funding administered through Sullivan County.

We at Eldred celebrate Coach Kean someone whose name is forever woven into the fabric of Eldred athletics—
For 36+ years and 136 season of coaching different sports Coach Kean has given his heart, his time, and his wisdom to the athletes and students of Eldred Central School. His dedication has gone far beyond teaching the fundamentals of the game or in the classroom . He has shaped young people into leaders, teammates, and community members. Coach Kean has shown us that success is measured not only by the scoreboard, but by the character, resilience, and spirit instilled in every athlete and student who had the privilege of learning from him.
He has been a mentor, a motivator, and for so many—a second father. He has celebrated our victories, stood by us in our defeats, and reminded us that once you are part of the Yellowjacket family, you are always part of it.
The impact of Coach Kean’s years of service can’t be measured in wins or trophies alone. It’s measured in the lives he’s touched, we had over 100+ athletes and Alumni from all over the country here at the game on 10/17 to celebrate with Coach he’s built confidence in every single one of them and the lessons that will live on in every athlete he’s coached. Generations of Eldred athletes carry those lessons with them
His legacy will continue to inspire Yellowjackets for generations to come.
Once a Yellowjacket, always a Yellowjacket.

The building has been cleared, and it was determined to be a false alarm. All students and chaperones have re-entered the building, and are currently dancing and eating and having a great time! As always, thank you for your support and thank you for all of our local volunteers!
Good evening, Junior Senior high school parents . Please be aware that an alarm was accidentally set off during the homecoming dance. Students are currently all accounted for and being supervised by multiple chaperones in the back of the building. We anticipate to be able to get back into the building and finish the dance and have a great night with your children. It is likely that local volunteer services will need to come in and clear the building. We will update you as soon as possible. Please rest assure that all students are safe.
