Dear Eldred Community,
Today the State Police canine department came to the JSHS to search for drugs at my invitation. We have had the canine units search this building in the past and I feel that there is still a need to continue this practice.
Last week, we had an incident at the high school where a student had to go to the hospital following a drug ingestion. I plan on having the dogs in again in the future. My goal is to make our high school and district as safe for your child as possible. Drugs cannot be tolerated in our schools.
Thank you for your continued support and everything you do.
Sincerely,
Traci Ferreira, Superintendent of Schools

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls basketball team for beating Livingston Manor to be Section IX Champions!!

Early this morning at the JSHS we had a student who apparently ingested a substance that rendered them unable to participate effectively in their academic classes. Our nurse provided the support until an ambulance arrived for precautionary measures.
We take this kind of event very seriously and we are pursuing the cause and origin of the problem. We will do whatever it takes to help ensure that this does not happen again. Please understand that due to student privacy, I cannot share any more than what I have stated here but rest assured that the safety of your children is our primary concern and nothing will interfere with that goal. Thank you.
