Together we swarm! Livingston Manor Softball team has asked for our help! They are collecting pet supplies for Sullivan County SPCA. Supplies can be given to any of the Varsity softball team members or Coach Furler or Coach Z at any Home Eldred game. We will bring the items to the game on May 8th to Livingston Manor or if you plan on cheering our softball team on that day please bring to the game. Thank you!

The hive has teamed up with the Can’t Hurt Steel Organization to honor student athletes that work hard on and off the field, court or track with an Athlete of the Month. Each month coaches and Athletic Coordinator will nominate an athlete on the Varsity/JV and modified levels. The nominated athletes will then be put into a pool to be selected. The athletes nominated will have to demonstrate perseverance, teamwork, sportsmanship, dedication and as well as being a positive role model in the school community. This month it is my honor to announce the first two Athletes of the Month for April are Luke Potter and Kenzy Petrin-Pettit. Together we swarm! Go Yellowjackets!

This afternoon at JSHS we had a student who needed medical attention that prompted us to contact the Town of Highland Ambulance Corp. Our nurse and local support provided the necessary treatment until an ambulance could arrive. In collaboration with the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, the student is currently in the hospital for evaluation purposes.
We take this kind of event very seriously and I ask that you understand that I cannot share any more than what I have stated.
Rest assured that the safety of your children is our primary concern and nothing will interfere with that goal.

We are gearing up for spring and summer with the Town of Highland & Greater Barryville Chamber of Commerce beautification and garden maintenance projects.
We'd love to hire a dedicated garden support intern (paid through the Sullivan 180 program) for the town. The hourly rate has increased this year, too!
