National School Bus Safety Week
National School Bus Safety Week is October 21-25, 2024. The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is urging drivers to slow down and be aware of school buses and school zones in their communities.

Mackenzie students tomorrow, October 17, is picture day. Parents don't forget to send your child to school with their picture day payment envelope or follow directions on the flyer to pre-order portrait packages online. If your child won't be in school tomorrow, make-up pictures will be taken on November 18.

School Board Recognition Week to recognize school board members for their commitment to New York public school children. Recognizing school board member service should be a year-round endeavor, but designating one week to highlight these volunteers’ efforts ensures they receive some of the thanks they deserve. School Board Recognition Week is an opportunity to raise community awareness and understanding about the crucial role school board members have within a school district.
